You always have a choice. Will you pay the rent or feed the kids? It costs lower-income families 30% more than they earn to live in Calgary and in those homes you will find the face of poverty is most commonly a single mother. Half of all people living in poverty in Alberta have jobs, but are still unable to make ends meet.
Thank You Calgary!
Thanks to everyone who came out to support the Calgary Inter-faith Food Bank on December 5th, including our wonderful co-sponsors Sobeys, The Calgary Sun, AM 1060, CJAY 92, Vibe 98.5 and Metro Calgary.
We are working hard to get everyone's greetings ready for broadcast and posting online. Be sure to tell all your friends and family to visit this site after December 12 to see your greeting.
Have a great Holiday Season!
